On February 16, 2023, the Building Movement Project hosted an Info Session webinar for our new Race Equity Assessment: Building Blocks for Change (BB4C). Sean Thomas-Breitfeld, BMP’s Co-Executive Director gave a presentation with an overview of the Race Equity Assessment and how BMP came to develop it through our Race to Lead series

BMP hosted a moderated panel discussion with Gita Gulati-Partee and Annie McKay, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) professionals, and Farah Council from New Mexico Voice for Children: a BB4C-participating nonprofit organization. Participants engaged in a Q&A with BMP and BB4C participating partners.

Building Blocks for Change (BB4C) is a nonprofit assessment process designed to help nonprofits build the foundational capacities needed to foster more racially equitable workplaces. BB4C offers a comprehensive and affordable assessment to anonymously capture and understand the experiences of everyone at the organization. Equipped with invaluable insights, nonprofits are better positioned to have important conversations and engage in meaningful action to embed race equity into all facets of the organization.
