Building Movement Project’s new resource database Tools to Engage: Resources for Nonprofits is officially LIVE! Loosely based on the structure of the popular NICE Guide, this website is an interactive, multi-level search portal that connects users to the best tools, research, and resources from across the social sector about how – and why – organizations can meaningfully engage their constituents and community.

Grounded in the Building Movement Project‘s perspective and framework that direct service organizations have the potential to bring about progressive social change,  this selection of tools is carefully curated to meet the needs of constituents, clients, organizational leaders, capacity builders, consultants, staff, and boards to both provide services and nurture the voice and power of residents to thrive.

Besides the centralization of 100 resources designed to help you advance your social change goals, Tools to Engage also features a variety of community building and peer-to-peer advising functionalities. For example, if you choose to sign up as a member (free!), you can participate in lively conversation via a comment function underneath each tool, contributing to shared learning about how various changemakers are adapting tools to meet their needs and circumstances. We have also added a Forum for members to discuss challenges, successes, and share best-practices in their own constituent-engagement work. Finally, members may also submit their own tools for possible inclusion in the site as we work towards building a shared practice around service and social change. Quarterly, popular tools will be chosen as featured tools on regular Tools to Engage Webinars. There are so many ways to get involved in this growing community and we look forward to having you join the conversation.

So, what are you waiting for? Visit and share Tools2Enage.org TODAY and stay tuned for opportunities to have your organization’s constituent engagement resource featured on an upcoming Tools to Engage Webinar!
