Why is leadership aspiration down among BIPOC nonprofit staff?

In this article, BMP’s co-executive directors, Frances Kunreuther and Sean Thomas-Breitfeld, share their analysis of the reasons behind this decline in aspiration to lead, including the “push” factors that continue to drive BIPOC staff into leadership positions. BMP’s latest survey data makes clear how much still needs to be done to inspire nonprofit staff—especially BIPOC staff—to lead and to adequately support them in their roles.
