Webinar – Women of Color in the Nonprofit Sector: Race to Lead Report
February 5, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Building Movement Project’s national report on Women of Color in the Nonprofit Sector, released earlier this year, demonstrates that “women of color encounter systematic obstacles to their advancement over and above the barriers faced by white women and men of color.” Further, race and gender influence career outcomes in the sector more than education levels, training, ambition, and awareness of leadership careers.
Author of the report and Senior Research Associate Ofronama Biu will present key findings in the areas of:
- How women of color describe the impacts of their identity on career development
- How women of color experience mentoring
- Salary trends along racial and gender lines
- And more
Following the presentation, Nicole Collier White, Director with the Kansas City Public Schools Education Foundation will bring a local perspective as she joins to address your questions and challenges.
This webinar is intended for leadership, middle management and program staff of all races and genders. Its focus is on needed systems and organizational change, and individual support for women of color.
Registration includes a one-hour webinar discussion, and materials and samples. All registrants will receive the recording and materials afterward.
