Integrating Civic Action for Nonprofits

The 2018 Unidos US Leaders in Action Summit is a unique opportunity to join hundreds of Latino leaders, including youth, in Capitol Hill to advocate for critical wins that benefit millions of American families on issues such as affordable healthcare, immigration reform, education equality, economic justice, and civil rights.
Building Movement Projects (BMP), develops research, tools, training materials and opportunities for partnership that bolster nonprofit organizations’ ability to support the voice and power of the people they serve. This workshop will deepen UnidosUS’s continued work in integrating civic action for nonprofits. UnidosUS Affiliates will showcase examples of integrating civic action. The BMP facilitators will conduct an organizational assessment for social change, explore community engagement strategies, and tackle barriers to Board buy-in. BMP will map out opportunities for civic engagement and activism.
