CO, Too!

January 1, 1970 @ 12:00 am

As nonprofits, we’ve heard and learned from business. Now it’s time to broaden our learning base and hear from another voice: CO, community organizing. Take this opportunity before Dr. King’s holiday to celebrate and learn from his legacy of community organizing:
Extend your outreach
Use technology and social media to spread your mission
Engage your board, staff and volunteers more effectively
….While increasing your impact

Whether you’re an arts organization or an AIDS network, an environment group or a community center, hear from a diverse panel of experts about how they use principles of community organizing to deliver their missions.

Meet with the panelists and explore how to apply their approaches to your organizations.  BMP Co-Director Sean Thomas-Breitfeld will moderate a panel that includes Kady Ferguson, Executive Director of Brooklyn Food Coalition; Zahida Pirani, Consultant and Community Organizer; Prerana Reddy, Director of Public Programs and Community Engagement at the Queens Museum; and Julia Watt-Rosenfeld, Director of Community Organizing and Advocacy at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation

To RSVP for this workshop, please fill out the online registration form.
