A program of the Building Movement Project, Solidarity Is generates tools, trainings, and narratives to facilitate transformative solidarity practices for movement-building organizations and activists interested in meaningful social change. We embrace our roles as builders, storytellers, and weavers.
More people than ever are engaged in social change. We can sustain this momentum for the long run. Join the Building Movement Project for this year’s Solidarity Is programs to sharpen analysis and strategy, deepen our connections, and practice skills that can help us continue the critical work of advancing justice and liberation. From virtual gatherings open to the public to cohort-based programs for nonprofit and movement leaders, we hope to see soon. Learn more about each of our offerings below.
STATE OF SOLIDARITY
The “State of Solidarity” series, hosted by SolidarityIs at the Building Movement Project, includes three virtual gatherings in April, September, and November that will explore the evolving praxis, demands, and trajectories of solidarity within social justice movements. Through reflection, co-learning, dialogue, and resource sharing, we will explore the relevance, responsibilities, challenges and opportunities surrounding solidarity in movements in 2024 and beyond.
