There’s less than 24 hours until Election Day kicks off tomorrow morning. Since Building Movement Project believes that nonprofit organizations should serve as robust sites of democratic practice, we’re encouraging all our nonprofit friends to check out Nonprofit Vote for info on how you can help get members of your community to the polls tomorrow.
Nonprofit Vote makes a great argument for why nonprofit organizations are ideal sites for civic engagement:
“The bottom line is that nonprofits have inherent assets that make them strong and capable proponents of voter and citizen participation. There are also strong reasons for nonprofits to promote voting and democracy in their communities. Nonprofit voter engagement can benefit the sector, our communities, and the nation—far beyond the outcome of any particular election.”
Head to Nonprofit Vote for a list of great Get Out The Vote resources you can put to use in your community.
