The Alliance for Children and Families and United Neighborhood Centers of America have launched the New Voices Civic Engagement Fellowshipto support civic engagement leadership at the local and regional level.

The fellowship is designed to recognize and fuel the leadership of individuals who are involved in civic engagement work at the local or regional level, and to embolden staff and community leaders, while simultaneously building the civic engagement capacity of the human service industry.  Fellowships are open to any individual (staff, volunteers, community partners, etc) who can be sponsored by an Alliance or UNCA member organization.

Up to 20 fellows will be selected from Alliance for Children and Families and United Neighborhood Centers of America (UNCA) member organizations during 2011. Fellows will be chosen on a rolling basis beginning July 11, 2011.  An $8,000 award will be provided to each sponsoring organization for each fellow.

To find out more about the fellowship, including how to apply, please visit the Alliance for Children & Families website.
