A small number of scholarships are also available for emerging leaders of small and medium-sized nonprofits who represent and work with underrepresented groups as well as the young leaders of tomorrow. Over the last three years, more than 500 emerging leaders have participated and their passion, insight, and commitment to the future of the nonprofit and philanthropic community have made this one of the premier events for under-40 leaders. By enhancing the visibility, leadership presence and professional networks of emerging leaders under age 40 and complementing 2012 Independent Sector Annual Conference, this program strengthens the capacity of the sector’s young leaders to contribute to addressing our society’s most significant challenges now and over time.
