Frances Kunreuther, director of the Building Movement Project, discusses how service organizations can take part in activities beyond delivering direct services to address the systemic causes of issues affecting their communities. The Building Movement Project recently released a two-part report, Catalysts for Change: How California Nonprofits can Deliver Direct Services and Transform Communities, which offers a snapshot of how over 450 California-based health and human service providers are, or are not, integrating advocacy and social change practices into their work.
