In a recent online article of the Canadian Fundraising and Philanthropy eNews Project Team Member, Kim Klein, is interviewed on her valuable fundraising experiencing and strategy for the current economic climate. Klein’s discussion highlights observations and trends in the nonprofit sector over the past decade and the value of intergenerational relationships in the workplace. When asked to comment on one of her fields of expertise, building an individual donor program, Klein says she instructs, “Organizations [to] build a broad base of individual donors. When you study who gives how much, you find that 85 per cent of all funding comes from individuals. Middle-class and poor people donate.
