In light of the recent legislation targeting the legitimate educational and advocacy efforts of nonprofit organizations throughout the state, we invite you to come to a discussion led by Kim Klein, founder of the Grassroots Fundraising Journal, about the history of nonprofits, their relation to the tax code and the Commons and their relevance to a healthy vibrant democracy. Come to discuss how New Mexico’s nonprofits can think about these issues in a much larger way that helps us move beyond simply fighting this legislation and towards advocating for the all the rights nonprofits should enjoy, given our role in society.
