About

Social Ecosystem overview

Social change takes all of us, playing different and interconnected roles. The Social Change Ecosystem Map is a framework that helps individuals, organizations, and networks understand how they show up in social change efforts and how their roles connect with others.

The Social Change Ecosystem Map was created by Deepa Iyer, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at Building Movement Project, in 2017. In 2022, Deepa expanded the framework through Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection, a workbook designed to help people explore their roles, relationships, and values more deeply.
