Participants will share experiences\, explore resources\, and identify strengths\, challenges\, and hopes. \nMy Role in the Social Justice Ecosystem – Led by Anna Castro and UyenThi Tran Myhre with the Building Movement Project.  \nDuring moments of injustice\, we feel an urgency to act. The source of this motivation is described beautifully by bell hooks: “The moment we choose to love we begin to move towards freedom\, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others.” However\, at first we may feel overwhelmed and not know where to start or how to approach social justice work in a way that is in alignment to our strengths. BMP’s Deepa Iyer joins a panel of racial justice experts to discuss the challenges to BIPOC solidarity and the different roles we can play in overcoming those obstacles. \nOrganized by the Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion Fellows\, the annual HEAL (Health Equity and Leadership) Conference focuses on discussions and actions to promote racial\, gender\, sexual\, and socioeconomic health equity nationally and globally. This year the HEAL Conference also intersects with our programming themes within the New Narratives Project. \nThe conference will feature a keynote address by the Rev.
