WEBINAR—Tools2Engage: #OurNeighborhoods Anti-Displacement Toolkit

Join us on Thursday, February 13th 2020 at 1pm EST for a FREE webinar on one of our newest Tools 2 Engage resources: the #OurNeighborhoods organizing toolkit. This toolkit was created by the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD), a coalition of organizations working together to fight for the needs of low-income Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). It is designed to help community organizations initiate and support efforts to address gentrification. This online resource includes their analysis of gentrification and its causes; strategies and tactics from the AAPI community organizing field; anti-displacement campaigns from member organizations on the ground; and custom data on housing costs and poverty.

As part of our Tools2Engage webinar series, the Building Movement Project will be hosting a 60-minute webinar to highlight the toolkit and hear from its creators. The speakers will include:

  • TC Duong, Networking and Learning Manager, Building Movement Project
  • Quinn Rhi, Organizing Network Manager, National CAPACD
  • Manisha Lance, Director of Programs, Raksha, Inc.
  • Karimah Dillard, Community Partnership and Development Manager, Raksha, Inc.
